The Kupjack Silver Shop

Artisan Eugene Kupjack began making miniatures in 1938 after receiving his first commission from the Thorne family. His Thorne Rooms, a series of over thirty room boxes, were displayed at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1941. In his lifetime, Kupjack produced this silver shop model along with seven-hundred other period-style miniature rooms. The silver pieces on display are the work of Kupjack, Peter Acquisto, Obadiah Fisher, and several other talented artisans.
