Fraktur

Date: 1802

This certificate records the birth of Johannes Andrick. He was a son of Friederich and Elizabeth Andrick of Shenandoah County, Virginia. The certificate’s German inscription was executed in gall ink. A watercolor decoration of a heart frames the record in shades of peach, green, and yellow. The tulips are distinctive, and typical of those the “Stony Creek Artist” created. That’s one reason why this certificate has been attributed to that artist.
