Date: early 1900s

This woven basket is made from flat-split oak. They are the same form, just different in scale.  The body of this basket consists of two lobes that are attached to a central oak ring. This ring then forms the spine and the handle. This rim style is common to Strasburg baskets, and is one of the clues that this basket may have been made in that town.
