Design and plant your own herb container garden with MSV Horticulturalist Chantal Ludder. Learn which herbs grow well together and how to feed, water, and harvest herbs. Participants will choose from thyme, chives, basil, lemon balm, cilantro, and dill for their container gardens. For both novices and experienced gardeners.

Take a garden tour with MSV Director of Gardens Perry Mathewes before the grounds open to the public. Perry will highlight seasonal blooms, such as peonies and false indigo.

LEGO lovers and fun seekers, head to the MSV and celebrate Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks at this family oriented event featuring music, face painting, juggling, stilt walkers, kettle corn, and a hands-on paper flower-making activity.

*Tickets: Free to MSV Members and ages 4 & under; all others: $10, $8 youth/senior, $5 ages 5–12. No registration required. Rain/shine. Food will be available for purchase.

Learn the basics of drawing during this three-week, six-session, workshop designed for beginners. Participants will discover the world of landscapes and draw at numerous MSV locations, including the Glen Burnie Gardens, the MSV galleries, and Rose Hill Park. Led by artist and instructor Aaron Pavelis with additional guest speakers.

This special, before-hours reception celebrates the opening of Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks with smoothies, donuts, and more breakfast delights. Plan to stay for the Nature Connects Family Day event following the private reception.

Explore Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks in the MSV gardens on a guided tour of exhibition highlights. This tour will also be offered on Monday, September 3 during a special Labor Day opening for the final day of Nature Connects at the MSV. This program is offered Tuesday–Sunday from May 4–September 2.
