Ages 5 and older will explore the kitchen vignettes and other displays in the Shenandoah Valley Gallery and learn how people in the past provided, prepared, and stored food for their families.
Thursday, December 1 • 1–3 p.m. or 6–8 p.m.Create your own holiday wreath on a 12-inch wire frame using fresh greenery from the MSV's gardens and adorn it with ribbon, baubles, and decorations.
Wednesday, December 7 • 10 a.m.–noon
Participants ages 10 and older will learn the basics of printmaking while creating original cards to share with family and friends. Led by MSV Manager of Youth & Family Programs Curry Schiavone.
Wednesday, January 4 • 10 a.m.–noon
Homeschool students ages 10 and older will examine the painted landscapes and portraits in Across the Pond, then create original paintings in the Makerspace Studio.
