Wednesday, July 9 • 10 a.m.–noon

In this interactive workshop, youth ages 10–15 will explore the MSV gardens to discover plants that produce fibers—like cotton, flax, and bamboo—and learn how they’re transformed from seed to fabric. They’ll sew fragrant lavender sachets using garden-grown lavender and cotton and make a drop spindle to take home (with extra cotton to keep experimenting). Led by MSV Manager of Youth & Student Programs Sarah Perks.

MSV Members: $24: all others: $30 (includes materials). Register by July 7; visit www.theMSV.org or call 540-662-1473, ext. 240.
