From Richmond, Virginia, the Soul Expressions Band will be back at the MSV to play a high-energy mix of funk, rock, Motown, and today's hits, including songs made famous by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, UB40, Bruno Mars, Van Morrison, Earth, Wind & Fire, and many other music greats.

The 2019 Gardens at Night concert series begins with the Robbie Limon Band playing your favorite hits from the '70s.

Celebrate the opening of Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light at this festive reception. Wear your casual cocktail attire in bright Tiffany-inspired colors, and see some of the most iconic and celebrated works of the famous Tiffany Studios!

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the MSV! On this special Monday opening, MSV admission and the entertainment is FREE to MSV Members, kids ages 12 and under, and to all wearing a 2019 First Night Winchester button.

Make party hats from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and enjoy face painting and balloons from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and family-oriented magic shows at noon, 2 and 3 p.m.

Free to MSV Members and ages 12 & under attending First Night activites held at the MSV only (MSV Members and ages 6 & over must purchase First Night buttons to participate in First Night activites outside of the MSV). All others: free with the purchase or presentation of a First Night Winchester button. First Night buttons will be available for puchase in the Museum Store ($10) December 21-31.

Organized and hosted by Smithsonian Magazine, Museum Day is an annual, one-day event during which participating museums across the country provide free admission to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. This year’s Museum Day celebrates women making history and female trailblazers in the arts, sciences, innovation, and culture. To celebrate women making history, at 2 p.m. on Museum Day, MSV Curator of Collections Nick Powers will lead a guided tour highlighting works by female artists in the galleries.

During this week-long summer camp (July 23–27), kids (rising 1st –4th graders) will create original art while learning to work with a wide variety of materials. Participants will explore the MSV exhibitions and use the Makerspace Studio. Beginners welcome. MSV Members $100; all others: $120 (includes all supplies). In celebration of the many birds featured in Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks, participants will explore natural elements in the MSV gardens and view bird life on the property with Shenandoah Valley Audubon President Jim Smith. After the walk, enjoy an illustrated presentation by the Shenandoah Valley Audubon Society focusing on bird identification.

Music from the 1970s by the Robbie Limon Band, free activities for children, and admission to the gardens will highlight the summer's first Gardens at Night at the MSV!

A popular Shenandoah Valley musician and award-winning entertainer who mixes solo and band appearances with acting and singing roles at professional theaters, Robbie Limon has been part of the Valley’s music scene for more than a decade. He has recorded six CDs and portrayed, to great acclaim, both Hank Williams Sr. and Buddy Holly in professional theatres across the United States.

Enjoy free family activities (6–8 p.m.). Bring a chair. Gates open at 6 p.m.; music begins at 7 p.m.
