Enjoy an afternoon of string quartet masterpieces in the intimate setting of the Glen Burnie House drawing room. This special concert features violinists Max Zorin and Adrienne Caravan, cellist Julian Schwarz, and violist Nadège Foofat, who also serves as the artistic director. Together, they bring the 2024–25 Classical at the MSV season to a stirring close with music full of timeless emotion and bold expression.

The program opens with Beethoven’s fiery and dramatic String Quartet in C minor, Op. 18, No. 4, a work that highlights the young composer’s restless brilliance and Classical elegance. In contrast, Samuel Barber’s String Quartet in B minor, Op. 11 offers intimate lyricism and profound emotional depth, featuring the iconic Adagio for Strings in its original, heart-stirring form.

The experience begins at 2 p.m. with a pre-concert talk and Q&A with the artists. The performance starts at 2:30 p.m., followed by a wine-and-cheese reception—a perfect finale to an afternoon of exceptional music.
