Looking for fun and engaging activities for your kids to do this summer? The MSV is pleased to announce new workshops designed just for youth (rising 5th–8th graders), available Tuesdays, and for teens (rising 9th–12th graders), available Thursdays. Each day is broken down into 2 sessions allowing participants to experience a new adventure twice a day. Morning sessions are 9 a.m.–noon and afternoons are 1–4 p.m.

Lead by a professional MSV staff, participants will explore gardens, the Glen Burnie House, MSV collections, and special exhibitions as they delve into architecture, illustration, garden design, printmaking, botanical watercolors, and metalsmithing. Each session will include a hands-on project.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register my child?
You may pay online by clicking on the links above to select a session. You may also contact the Front Desk at 540-662-1473, ext. 240. Space is limited; registration is first-come, first-served.

Will my child go outside?
Weather permitting, kids will enjoy the Glen Burnie Gardens during instructor-led outdoor workshops.

What does my child need to bring?
Participants can bring a snack and a drink.  If registered for 2 sessions in one day, your child may bring a lunch.

What time will my child eat lunch?
Participants can eat lunch from noon to 1 p.m. which is the time between morning and afternoon sessions.

Where can my child eat?
Participants will be guided to a supervised area in the Museum or gardens.

What does my child need to wear?
Kids should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes that can get dirty or soiled with art materials.
