Featuring networking and lunch, the ninth annual MSV Business Forum Luncheon will be highlighted by a presentation from Della Britton, president and CEO of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, that will focus on the life and legacy of baseball great Jackie Robinson, his commitment to civic engagement, and the importance of corporate responsibility in communities.

Since 2004, Della Britton Baeza has been President and CEO of the Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF).
Ms. Britton has brought tremendous growth to JRF, greatly expanding its funding base and the number of young people served; relocating its New York City headquarters; upgrading its technological capabilities; implementing new program components that include offering graduate school fellowships and international work/study opportunities; and developing a research arm of the Foundation. Over its 43-year history, the Foundation has dispensed over $70 million in scholarships and direct program support.
Under her leadership, the Foundation has undertaken the additional task of a $42 million National Legacy Capital Campaign to build the Jackie Robinson Museum, a state-of-the-art facility to be located in New York City, expected to be completed by 2018.
An entertainment sector executive for most of her career, Ms. Britton also brings legal expertise to the Foundation, having served as assistant general attorney for American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., before becoming the president of Hillside Publishing, a major markets television and radio station group, and president of AJM Records, L.L.C, a Grammy award-winning, independent record label that launched the career of pop sensation Ashanti. She began her career as an associate with the international law firm of Covington & Burling, after graduating from Princeton University and Columbia Law School.
Ms. Britton served as a director of Argentinian-based cosmetics firm Marta Harff and of global media and entertainment company Legendary Entertainment, based in Burbank, California.
Among her many activities in the non-profit sector, Ms. Britton served as a member of The New York Times Institutional Task Force on Race Relations, convened by Arthur Ochs Sulzberger in the 1990s, and on the boards of Inwood House (NYC), the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (Washington, D.C.), the Dance Theatre of Harlem, and the Dwight-Englewood School (Englewood, NJ). Ms. Britton is a proud mother of three and lives in New York City.
Refunds for Programs and Special Events: Programs are held rain, snow, or shine, unless notified otherwise. Cancellations 5 days prior to the program or event date will be refunded, less 20% of the registration fee ($5 minimum). No refunds will be given for cancellations made 1-4 days prior to the program/event date. Allow ten business days for refund processing. Programs cancelled by the MSV due to low enrollment or inclement weather conditions will be refunded in full or given a full credit towards a future program to be used within the year.
