Explore superheroes in the exhibition Superheroes and Superstars: Works of Alex Ross

Ages 4 and up will explore superheroes in the exhibition Superheroes and Superstars: Works of Alex Ross, then design their own superhero emblem and incorporate it into a cape to take home.

Daniel Curry Schiavone is the MSV’s Manager of Youth and Family Programs. He holds a B.A. in art from the University of North Carolina in Asheville where his emphasis was on sculpture. Prior to joining the MSV staff, Schiavone was an elementary and middle school art teacher at the Powhatan School, and a substitute teacher for Winchester and Frederick County Public Schools.


Refunds for Programs and Special Events: Programs are held rain, snow, or shine, unless notified otherwise. Cancellations 5 days prior to the program or event date will be refunded, less 20% of the registration fee ($5 minimum). No refunds will be given for cancellations made 1-4 days prior to the program/event date  Allow ten business days for refund processing. Programs cancelled by the MSV due to low enrollment or inclement weather conditions will be refunded in full or given a full credit towards a future program to be used within the year.
