Adult Workshop: The Art of Illustration

Learn illustration techniques with Virginia Museum of Fine Arts instructor Kendra Wadsworth.

Learn the secret of illustration techniques with award-winning professional artist and instructor, Kendra Wadsworth. Using themes and artwork from Mort Künstler: The Art of Adventure, participants will sketch various images from the exhibition then combine their pictures into a narrative work using ink and pen. All materials provided. All experience levels are welcome!

Kendra is an educator at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and is also a scenic painter for motion picture, theatrical, television, and commercial projects. Kendra holds a degree in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an MFA in painting from The University of Pennsylvania. Kendra has received numerous awards, including a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Professional Fellowship. Her works have been shown nationally in solo and group shows. Kendra is also a board member at the prestigious 1708 Gallery in Richmond, VA.

Tour the gardens & galleries for FREE before the workshop. House & Gardens are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Museum galleries are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
