Sally Meyer is the MSV's Adult Programs Manager. A native of the Shenandoah Valley, she holds an M.A. in History and Museum Studies from Tufts University in Medford, MA and a B.A. in History and Fine Arts from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. Her research has focused on slavery, racism in America, and the American Civil Rights Movement; her undergraduate thesis on Civil Rights photography won the Excellence in Art History Award from the Fine Arts faculty at Christopher Newport University.

This month kicks off a new, exciting, and free monthly program at the MSV!

Memories at the MSV is specifically designed for participants with early stage memory loss (Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, etc.) and their caregivers in order to have a relaxing and joyful experience outside of their daily routine. In the Education Department, we’ve been hard at work getting ready to welcome participants to this program.
